Testing and certification performed in line with the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, including:
Power Boilers – “V” Stamp
For steam boilers with design pressures ranging from 16 psi to over 3000 psi
Heating Boilers – “HV” Stamp
Low Pressure Steam Boilers: 15 psi only (lbs./hr)
Hot Water Heating & Supply: 15 – 160 psi @ 250°F max, usually rated in BTU/hr
Pressure Vessels – “UV” Stamp
For unfired pressure vessels operating at 15 psi and above
Applicable for steam, air, or water (other fluids possible, rating shown as steam, air, or water only)

Service Determination & Code Stamp Guidelines
Fluid Type: Steam, Air/Gas, Hot Water, or Liquid
Steam Service:
Is it on or off boiler?
Boiler Type:
Hot Water (Max 160 psi or 250°F)
Low Pressure Steam (15 psi)
Power Boiler (16+ psi)
Gas/Liquid Service:
Specify fluid type and temperature
Setting Pressure Guidelines
Set Pressure must be at or below the MAWP (Maximum Allowable Working Pressure) or the Design Pressure of the system.
Always maintain a pressure differential between operating and set pressure:
Steam: 10% of set pressure or minimum 7 psi
Steam (Operating): Should not exceed 10 psi below set pressure
Hot Water: 10 psi or 25% of operating pressure, whichever is greater
Other: 10% of set pressure or 5 psi, whichever is greater
Sizing for Flow
Select a valve size based on set pressure that can handle the maximum potential flow. Ensure flow rate meets or exceeds system requirements.

When precision and purity matter, the Parker PVS Series delivers advanced oil purification with unmatched efficiency. Designed to remove water and particulate contamination from hydraulic and lube oils, this system ensures fluid cleanliness, prolongs equipment life, and reduces costly downtime.
How It Works
Vacuum-Assisted Intake
Contaminated oil is drawn into the system using a powerful 25 in/Hg vacuum.
Controlled Heating
Oil flows through a low watt density inline heater that warms it to 150°F (66°C)—the optimal temperature for moisture removal without fluid degradation.
Vacuum Distillation Process
Heated oil enters a distillation column, where specially designed dispersal elements increase surface area exposure to vacuum, converting water into vapor.
Moisture Removal
Water vapor is extracted through a condenser by the vacuum pump, ensuring complete dehydration of the oil.
Final Filtration
Dry oil collects at the column’s base and is pumped through a high-efficiency particulate filter, ensuring it’s free from solids before being returned to the reservoir or system.
Key Benefits
Removes free, emulsified, and dissolved water
Reduces particulate contamination
Extends fluid service life
Supports critical system uptime
Fully portable and easy to operate
Ideal For
Hydraulic systems
Lube oil reservoirs
Turbines and transformers
Gearboxes and compressors
Whether it’s maintenance, restoration, or regular operation, the PVS Series is your go-to solution for on-site oil purification.
