Product Range:
Racor’s Alternative Fuel Filtration Systems are specifically engineered to meet the demands of today’s clean energy vehicles using Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquid Natural Gas (LNG), and Liquid Propane Gas (LPG). These fuels face the same contamination challenges as diesel and gasoline—particulates, water condensation, and oil intrusion from compressors—all of which can compromise engine performance and safety.
To address these challenges, Racor developed the industry’s first and most complete line of high-performance alternative fuel filters and coalescers designed to operate under the high pressures required by modern CNG systems.
Designed to protect critical engine components in CNG, LNG, and LPG-powered vehicles
Filters out contaminants introduced during refueling or from storage and compression equipment
Grade 6 coalescing filter removes 99.97% of oil, water, and solid aerosols in the 0.3 to 0.6 micron range
Patented micro-glass fiber construction arranged in a tubular format for maximum efficiency
Fuel enters through the inside of the cartridge and passes through the coalescing media to the outer surface.
Oil and water droplets are separated and collect at the bottom of the housing
Solid particles are trapped within the fiber surfaces
Contaminants are safely removed through periodic draining
This advanced filtration ensures clean fuel delivery, reduced maintenance costs, and long-term protection of precision engine components in alternative fuel systems.
Crankcase emissions pose a significant challenge for diesel engine owners and the environment. These emissions originate when combustion gases leak past piston rings and enter the crankcase. Inside, they mix with oil mist, water, and fuel vapors, which are then vented through the breather into the engine compartment or released into the atmosphere.
This oil mist settles on engine components like radiator cores and air filters, attracting dust and debris—leading to reduced performance, increased wear, and higher maintenance costs.
Racor’s RankVent Crankcase Emission Filtration Systems offer a high-efficiency solution for managing these emissions. Designed to meet the needs of both OEMs and end-users, RankVent systems deliver:
Cleaner engine compartments and components
Protection for engine intake and air filters
Improved reliability and reduced maintenance
Lower oil consumption
Effective reduction of smoke and odors
“Green” element that is burnable and crushable
Superior efficiency compared to other systems on the market
Racor crankcase filtration systems are installed as original equipment by major manufacturers around the world—helping reduce environmental impact and extending the life of diesel engines.
Diesel Fuel Heater Systems are essential for cold-weather operation. These systems apply heat to fuel coming from the tank, allowing it to flow smoothly towards the primary fuel filter/water separator. By ensuring proper fuel flow, heater systems prevent filter clogging and maintain engine reliability in low temperatures.
When diesel fuel is exposed to cold temperatures, paraffin wax and ice crystals can form, leading to filter blockage and performance issues. Heating the fuel:
Dissolves wax and ice
Improves water separation efficiency
Prevents filter plugging
Ensures smoother engine start-up and operation
Biodiesel, commonly blended as B2, B5, or B20, is derived from vegetable oils processed into Fatty Acid Methyl Esters (FAME). These blends tend to thicken at lower temperatures, especially if unrefined oils or greases are used.
Fuel heaters are particularly important for biodiesel use, helping to:
Reduce viscosity
Improve combustion
Enable filtration and flow in cold climates
Support engines running on alternative biofuels
Electric Heated Systems
Powered by vehicle’s electrical system
Ideal for quick, on-demand heating
Coolant Heated Systems
Use engine coolant to transfer heat to the fuel
Efficient and consistent heating during engine operation
With over 37 years of expertise, Racor has established itself as a trusted global leader in fuel filtration and water separation across engine, mobile, marine, and stationary applications. Racor’s comprehensive product line is designed to filter virtually any type of fuel at any flow rate, and can be customized to meet specific application, environmental, and operational requirements.
Racor’s state-of-the-art filtration laboratories are located in North America and Europe, with a dedicated 2,500 USGPM API/EI engineering test facility in the United States. Expansion plans include additional labs in Asia and South America, ensuring global quality assurance and innovation.

1590-qualified microfilters
EI 1583-qualified monitors
These filtration solutions are engineered for aviation fuel applications and offer high-performance filtration and separation, backed by a wide range of industry-standard vessels and interchangeable components.
Efficient lubrication filtration is critical to maintaining the longevity and performance of modern engines. Racor’s advanced filtration systems are engineered to remove harmful particulates, sludge, and metal debris from lubricating oils, ensuring engines operate smoothly under all conditions.
Whether it’s for on-highway vehicles, off-road equipment, marine engines, or industrial applications, Racor’s oil filtration systems:
Extend oil life and service intervals
Reduce engine wear and component failure
Improve overall system efficiency
Protect engines during startup and high-load operation
Modern engines require high-capacity, high-efficiency filtration to deal with tighter tolerances and higher operating pressures. Racor filters meet or exceed OEM requirements and are compatible with both synthetic and mineral-based oils.

Whatever your filtration needs are, Parker offers the right offline or portable filtration solution. Whether you’re introducing new fluid into a hydraulic system or cleaning existing fluid, Parker has the tools to ensure optimal performance.
Portable Filtration for Fluid Conditioning and Contamination Control
The Guardian Portable Filtration System is a unique combination of pump, motor, and filter, designed to condition and transfer petroleum-based and water-emulsion fluids. This system safeguards your hydraulic system by filtering out contaminants that new fluids may carry, as fresh fluids often contain impurities right from the drum.
During processing, mixing, handling, and storage, new fluids can pick up contamination. The Guardian system not only prevents this but also circulates and polishes the fluid in your system, bringing contamination levels down to acceptable standards.
The Guardian is versatile, serving hundreds of applications, with more being discovered regularly. If your system is sensitive to contamination, the Guardian could be the ideal solution for you.
The Parker Portable Purification System (PVS) uses a vacuum of 25 In/Hg to draw contaminated oil into the system. The oil then flows through an in-line low watt density heater, where it is heated to an optimal temperature of 150° F (66°C).
Next, the heated oil enters the distillation column, where it is exposed to the vacuum through special dispersal elements. This process increases the oil’s surface area, converting water into vapor, which is drawn through the condenser by the vacuum pump.
The water-free oil settles at the bottom of the column and is removed by a heavy-duty lube oil pump. This pump pushes the clean, dry oil through a final particulate removal filter. The purified oil is then sent back to the reservoir and reintroduced into the system.
Parker has over 150 patents for innovative filtration products, including Filtration Membranes, Differential Pressure Indicators, Cartridge Bypass Valves, and Spin-in Elements. With a deep technical foundation, Parker provides the right filtration technologies tailored to your needs.
